Gender Bender

I had been invited for dinner a few days back to a family who I happened to be aquainted with .

Over the time I saw the husband continuosly put down his wife ..

I was so put off.

I have realised that I dislike it when I see men put down women. It may be over the choice of TV programmes they watch, They way the cook, The manner in which they conduct themselves...

I have yet to see any lady say that about their husbands...that they are useless, slumped over the couch watching cricket / rugby/football/golf/tennis asking for endless cups of tea to be made , friends invited at whim and the wife cooking smilingly ....

This was just a observation ..an absolute impersonal observation
